Just an FYI for those flying SLC-KOA who enjoy their upgrades. Flight 1299 is a through flight with a stop and change of equipment in LAX. The over water portion is not complimentary upgrade eligible of course but that also taints the SLC-LAX portion which would normally be complimentary upgrade eligible.

I got waitlisted with a SWU but it hasn't cleared. Maybe my friends in the SkyClub can do something about SLC-LAX but I doubt it.

I really dislike through flights. This particular flight might be a stupid legacy of the short lived SLC-KOA nonstop. "Hey you can fly Salt Lake City to KOA on one flight number!" DUH
