I use KVS and it is great.

Aeroplan.com is a different story.

Look for availability in business on Air NZ from YVR-AKL,SFO-AKL or LAX-AKL and then build from there.
I second the KVS recommendation.

Another option is YYZ-NRT (on AC) followed by NRT-AKL (on NZ) in case you'd like to make a brief sushi stop.
