I am planning to go to the Maldives in April now that they have direct flights from Guangzhou. Last time I went I stayed at the Hilton as it was a great promotion and was not worth using my points at conrad. Now I have booked 6 nights at TBH, but have heard a lot of trouble over the transfers. It is my understanding that the domestic flight is by no means free and is also a much longer and less interesting way to get to the resort. Many also complain about the price, but being so far away, I thought it was a decent value. Especially if you see the new sea plane they have, much nicer than the normal air taxi. Although, I guess you are not guaranteed to have this plane. Has anybody used the new sea plane? Also, have any other diamonds been upgraded?
