I have a booking for ten days in the beginning of March and looks like I will have to go on my own. Could feel a bit strange to have dinner on my own in the restaurants.
To reiterate Thunderroad, magazines are good...you can trash/recycle them after you've finished them. For length I like The Economist.

My wife and I went on our honeymoon. There's an area (forget the name), near check-in, where you can sit outside and watch the ocean. For me, that would be a comfortable place to sit by myself. Bars are the other (b/c of a tv or newspaper to read). I generally have felt awkward eating at a table by myself unless it's a sports bar-type environment.

Fishing and snorkling/diving should be ok by yourself. I'm not big on laying on the beach, but if you enjoy that then you should have a good time.

I've been to KEF, LIS, AMS, CDG, LHR, TXL, and EZE by myself. I've always planned my trip ahead of time to keep myself busy with museums, specific restaurants (pizza...picky eater), and general sight-seeing.

If I were to go by myself, I'd go fishing, a spa treatment (or two), I'd wander around the resort, maybe snorkle (or dive), spend probably an hour in the business center (on FlyerTalk of course!) each morning, and maybe sit on the beach a couple of times. I will say this...10 days might be a bit long unless you really love to dive or lounge around on the beach...the length of time would be my only concern.

Rangali's a great place...hope you enjoy it!
