The fact you got no consideration on the flight is not surprisong. I had a similar experience recently. My seat back would no stay locked in the upright position. When I mentioned it to a FA prior to departure, they indicated that there were no other seats available as the fkight was full. This was in J to boot.

When I asked for them to rectify it, the response was and I quote "get off the flight and take the next one." I had a connection that I would miss, and I asked to have a non-rev bumped instead, I was told to "suck it up".

Well after 4 hours leaning on my elbow, not to put pressure on the seat back, was very uncomfortable. I am still waiting for a response from the customer complaints department.
