What do you all think?
I think you pretty much describe the fundamental rationale for paying $1200 for the CP UG. Lacking any international itineraries, the money spent is not gonna flow back to the purchaser. A little puzzled as a Plat comes up 25K miles short of CP ( which does require $1200 for the CP UG ). But has your friend not requalified for plat in 2011 as unless he has exactly 75K miles having 75001 miles or more would make his buy-in $989 ( which means one Hawaii or international trip with the UG might make it worth the cost ).
Decisions decisions.
