kanebear, my exact sentiments; I would consider 2:1

1.5:1 would be a done deal

3:1 is not in my realm of possibilities; I can't believe *wood would sit for such a bogus conversion rate....would mean they get very few MR points my guess; maybe that's the goal...to stifle the flow

I also have 500K or more MR points lookin' for a home.

That's a million latent MR points sitting there collecting dust if my math adds up. I have one friend alone in the millions of MR points....and on my say-so...feel he would probably convert to where I recommended (I put him on to MR several years ago).

I see more and more AMEX cardholders expressing disatisfaction with collecting increasingly less useful, which is to say less valuable, MR points...in my case, to the extent that I am now *avoiding* use of my AMEX colored-card (not counting my Starwood AMEX card) because I don't want more semi-useless MR points. Coupled with AMEX's annual fee increases...talk about waliking into a minefield and "messing with something that ain't broken" the wrong way...I would hate to see AMEX's high-end card product retention ratios next year. Bloody.

Hope AMEX is paying attention here.
