She did joined Asia Miles but never used it or flew on CX/KA.
She is added to my redemption group - she is the only one on there.

She is a member of Dynasty Flyer but no status. She wanted to fly on China Airlines as China Airlines is $90 cheaper than CX for the same/similar flight.

I want her to fly on CX for an "overall better" experience - I think that the long haul (18+) would be better on CX than CI.

I will spend the extra $90 and go with CX.

Also she wouldn't be doing that many long hauls (1-2 every 2 years) & a few domestic (USA) - she will be based in NYC.
