I would think at best it is cost-Neutral. For pre Flight Dining BA have pay rent and furnish space for the dining areas, plus kitchen equipment and additional staff over the normal lounge. While the dinner offering onboard is minimal, they still are catering the flight plus the food costs on the ground. Plus it is only offered from a few stations on the East Coast plus ORD I believe. Hard to see any significant savings?
