Actually, Amex is the only card operation which has not attempted to stiff me on offers. I have had the personal SPG Amex for 15 years, and it is the only card which has stood the test of time for me.

But then I don't have multiple Amex accounts and don't churn Amex cards for recreation.

Over the years I have had Visa, MC, Discover, and Amex, which from actual experience, has absolutely the best customer service when it comes to identity theft, rental car collision coverage, internet purchase problems, etc. I have been through all of that. Like all operations which you deal with over time, they will make a mistake now and then, and I have never had to make more than one call to correct a mistake, even the $10,000 mistake.
