I alternate Wachovia (or Wells Fargo or whatever the hell their name is now) and PNC. No problem with the truth. Both take the rolls. No coin counter nonesense.
Novel place to move coins in DC is Metro. Their farecard machines give dollar coins change, so turnabout is fair play.
In general I only spend coins in places I can't use a rewards CC: farmers' market, garage sale, office collection, splitting a tab at lunch. Using coin where I could use a CC is wasted effort.
