Yesterday in Atlanta, there was a gate agent (or I assumed she was) helping people and doing a great job of it. She assisted handicapped people, sent people to the right gate, and was quite at ease with her work. When my flight was announced, I went and sat in my seat and there she was serving and assisting people in the cabin.
My question: Do gate agents/FA work in an interchangeable manner or did I see anything unusual?
