At the risk of being flamed for posting a "W" on here, I'll be in the Maldives for part of my honeymoon in March, and we booked an Ocean Oasis at the W there... it looks pretty nice for a W, and there's definitely a private pool. Very few reviews on the actual hotel thread, though. Only other experience I have in the Maldives is with a Spa Water Villa at the Conrad, where you can find a ridiculous amount of info on FT. We loved it there, but I think the W is supposed to be nicer, and they don't allow children under 13.
