You know if you are a Club guest you can check in at the Club. You could have relaxed there while waiting for a key. I never go to the front desk at this hotel.
I didn't know at the time that I was a club guest, however. I wasn't technically supposed to get club access until my third day. Also, I imagine the club was having the same technical issues as the front desk so I'm not sure that would have made a difference.
And, actually, while we were there, I heard the club staff tell several people that they could not check them
out in the club because their printer was down. This was over the course of several days.
