I could earn 8-10 free flights a year for leisure travel for my wife and I. We are looking to travel internationally a bit over the next 4-6 years, so I've been considering a move to a legacy carrier even before RR2.0 was announced. RR2.0 seems to have nudged to a change even more quickly. I've been searching around some of the airline's websites, but would appreciate any suggestions from some of the more experienced FTers out there.
Two more important considerations:
- I spend $50k-$100k/month on my credit card and would happily sign up for one of the carrier's signature cards
- I own my own business, so I can't just "expense" the more expensive flights.....that is straight out my pocket.
I've been leaning towards Delta and the Delta AMEX.
Thanks for any and all comments. I've really enjoyed FT since I signed up last month.
Do you change or cancel many of your flights? If so, Southwest wins even with no FF benefits at all. Does another airline offer better schedule and on-time performance? If so, they win. FF program benefits are far down the scale IMHO, only coming into play when all else is roughly equal.
