Most elite legacy fliers earn double mileage for all flights (and frequent F upgrades for that matter). Those on higher fares (perhaps your BS version) get even more.
2.5 transcons for $1000 total yields us 25000 miles - an equivalent of 1 domestic RT, half international economy RT or 1/4 or 1/5 of international business award.
$1000 spent on WN gets you between $200 as your best case scenario (if you spend on BS and redeem on WGA) and $50 if you spend on WGA and spend on BS. All without first class or international awards or any ability to redeem at WGA rates within 1 week of travel.
I am not even talking about decimation of partner credits that earn at the old rates but redeem with new diluted rules.
Thanks but no thanks. I'd expect frequent fliers bolting out of WN in droves...
