Not sure of the need for a local to call to make reservations. The Hilton staff speak English not Singlish. They will understand what you want. If the restaurant is closed when you call just ask Meena (customer service manager) to make the arrangements. PM if you need her e-mail.
Please note: if you go to the extensive Hilton Buffet, you may not be in the mood for Saturday night dinner. If that is the case, please have the courtesy to tell BSchaff that you will be a no show. Last year 11 people who had committed to dinner did not show up because of attending the buffet. Not fair to the restaurant or the organizer or some of your fellow attendees who were looking forward to seeing you.

).The reason I asked if a local would like to call to make the booking was not because of language issues
, but because I am in Australia and its an INTERNATIONAL call. No matter, if we don't have any local FTers, I will make the call from here.
The buffet is quite extensive and very good value, so its up to everyone to choose how much or how little they would like to eat at the Hilton Buffet, if they also want to attend the dinner. I will
not be attending the dinner (and I did not RSVP or attend last year either). Some of those no shows for dinner last year, didn't actually attend the Hilton Buffet.
From my quick tally here and friends who have PMed, we have 4 people interested so far. Please get in touch with me or show your interest on thread as soon as possible, so I can organise a table.
