In the end I managed to catch the bus arriving at BMA at 1710 so no problems. Boarding began at 1740.

Funny thing was that the online boarding pass says I need to be at the gate 40 minutes before departure for boarding but that I can drop off baggage as late as 30 minutes before departure at the check-in counter :-)
