If TSA means that appropriate signage is "TSA enhanced procedures in use at this checkpoint" I don't think the word appropriate means what they think it means. I'd say 60% (at least) of travelers, especially those who were going through CRP this morning would have no clue what that means. The vast majority of them were old or families going on cruises/international vacations so most likely not seasoned travelers.
Well, this OLD person IS a seasoned traveler and many of the OLD people I know are, as well. We know exactly what "enhanced procedures" means and, trust me, not a one of us likes them. The one thing that we do, though, is complain and complain bitterly. We write letters to the TSA, to the airport and to the government every single time we get felt up at a check point. If more people did this, it would certainly help the cause.
