Link to a Chase Premium Checking or Chase Premier Platinum Checking OR
Link to an active Chase business credit card OR
Have 5 or more debit card purchases post each statement period (excludes ATM and cash advance transactions).
The bolding occurs on the account summary, the English is simple enough, and I questioned her in person as well. Since I am linked to a Chase Premium checking AND have the business credit card, I'm confident I have met two of the four ways to avoid a monthly fee.
Quoted from the Chase website: Products and services described as well as associated fees, charges, interest rates and balance requirements may differ among different geographic locations.
This in itself may explain some of the differences that people have reported.
It is in writing on all our paperwork as well - they are computer-generated albeit giving a personalized look with your name and what not on it.
The business credit card is the one condition you can rely on.
The banker showed us the computer screen which displayed we are "preapproved" for the Continental personal and business credit cards. I told her I did not want them just yet - the sign up bonuses simply not high enough to interest me. They need to up it to at least 50K before I would even consider. I got the current UA 50K offer but not liking the $95 fee and passed. I already made the mistake of getting the 60K Priority Club targeted offer. Less than 2 months now the targeted offer is at 80K. The sign up bonuses seem to get higher and higher, there is no reason to sign up a 25K or 30K CO card.
