I was also amazed at the prices. Same prices as it would be in US$, which was about twice what it costs in US. Was a place to get warm on a chilly, rainy day in Edinburgh.
That's just well *insert synonym for cheap here*. I know that in Taiwan, you can opt to put a Starbucks drink in a mug there, with no additional cost. I would assume that extra charge is for washing the glass
