We stayed there on a road trip this winter. We got an amenity (not a choice, and C/I was fine). The hotel was o.k. for the price, definitely not great, but we had a worse experience than most.

We left something important and valuable in the room. We discovered this about 250 miles away. When we called the hotel, they were rude. We told them exactly where it was, etc., was put on hold, told that "the room was torn apart" looking for it, and they found nothing. We returned a day or two later, and nothing had changed, except what we left was no longer where we left it- although other things most certainly were. The room certainly was not torn apart.

Needless to say, I strongly suspect that an employee took what we left when we told them exactly where it was.

Our fault, ultimately, but that doesn't mean we can't be mad about what happened.

William, SPG, and hotel management did what they could after the fact, but... oh well.
