Maybe that's what the policy says, but last year I, and two traveling companions, had a 7-hour interline connection between F9 and HA in LAS with separate tickets, PNR's, and the whole shebang of baggage (clubs for the man, shoes for the lady, and toys for the kids. No... we do not travel light on spring break).
Wasn't a problem at all upon check-in at DEN with F9. We showed them our HA itineraries and they checked our 6 bags all the way through to LNY via LAS and HNL. Everything arrived just fine and dandy.
I would be shocked if an F9 check-in agent refused to check the OP's baggage all of the way through to JAC, especially if all of the flights are on F9, regardless of the connection time. Hopefully, common sense would prevail in this situation.
