Just returned from a one week stay at the Maui Sheraton. Was given upgrade to ocean front room in building six with beautiful view. This was our first stay at this property but we have stayed four times at the Westin. I was disappointed with the Sheraton's rooms and property. Our bed was not as comfortable as the Westin's heavenly bed and bedding (pillows, sheets and comforter) was not as nice or clean as the Westin's. The Sheraton had few choices for dinner or shopping. My husband loved the snorkeling and we watched the whales from our lanai and even saw a seal and turtles swiming in front of our room.(The view high up on Black Rock can't be beat for whale watching). The property is very spread out but you can get your exercise walking to breakfast, the pool and etc. I found the Sheraton's pools and grounds plain compared to the Westin's. All in all our stay at the Sheraton wasn't bad it just didn't have that luxurious and pampered feeling that I get when staying at the Westin or even the Renaissance in Wailea.
