Flight/Origin-Destination: AC754 SFO-YYZ
Date: Jan 4, 2010 9:45pm PST
Cabin: J
Status: Eh-leet
Pre departure
Was check in quick and efficient?
Kind of, there was only one check-in agent and he spent quite a bit of time helping out a pair of pax at the self-serve kiosk. I had to wait in line!
Did you use priority security (if eligible) and if so, was it quick and efficient?
Yes. The priority security line was empty ... I could feel the glare of the proletariat flying AA in
that other line.
Also, it looks like AC shares the security checkpoint with AA?
PROTECT OUR CHECKPOINT FROM UA!! After I cleared security, I walked over to the UA area and omfg their security checkpoint was completely clogged.
Suggestion: consider expanding the priority security from only J to J and AC*E/SE?
Did you use the Maple Leaf lounge and if so, any feedback in regards to service, food and drinks?
Wanted to try out the SQ lounge, but it wasn't open yet (they open around when my flight boards?). Went to the domestic RCC ... they seem less crowded than the YYZ t/b MLL o_o
Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient?
^ we even
pre-pre-boarded before the wheelchair/old people/families with small children. Such a boarding order should be expanded system-wide.
If there was a delay, did the gate agent provide timely updates?
N/A
Onboard - J cabin:
Were the crew professional & well groomed?
Yes
If there was a delay, were you provided with timely updates?
N/A
Was the IFE activated on the ground?
I don't remember, but I don't think it was.
Furthermore,
the power wasn't turned on until I asked about 1h into the flight

Was a pre-departure beverage offered on the ground?
Yes, OJ or water
Did crew offer to hang your jacket?
No, I instead asked if I could use the closet (response was an enthusiastic yes)
Were newspapers & menus distributed and meal orders taken (Please specify when meal orders were taken - on the ground or in the air)?
Newspapers - yes ... even the French ones too (didn't recall this on my previous SFO-YYZ exec flight)
Meal orders taken by status. SD went above standard and did the one other more important person (I think that guy was a SE with MM lifetime E). I think I was 2nd or 3rd person to be asked for my meal choice.
No menu on this flight though, but the SD gave a good description
Did crew offer a hot towel prior to the meal service?
Yes
Approximately how long after take off did it take for the first meal service to be completed? (From takeoff to all items collected)
90-120 minutes or so? I took a bit longer since I ate an extra bread, mmm ^
How was the quality of all the meals?
I could give a better answer if the SD allowed me to eat all the meals
Went for the steak with BBQ sauce. Exactly like my previous SFO-YYZ J flight, steak was too well cooked (meat was gray inside).
Did the cabin crew continiously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight?
Yes. They did a great job of it too!
Post departure
If you have checked baggage, did it arrive within reasonable period of time?
Yes and no-ish. Waited quite a bit before the baggage conveyor belt started. I lucked out though and YYZ actually did respect the priority that my luggage rightfully deserves.
Overall experience/any other comments
Summary of above:
- Protect the SFO security checkpoint from the masses of UA @:-)
- Expand SFO priority security to AC*E/SE instead of only J

- Like the pre-pre-boarding we received. This should be expanded systemwide :-:
- Dislike the non-menu on the flight. One fewer photograph to take

- Dislike how the power wasn't turned on "by default" and I ask to ask

- OMG THE MAP WORKED ON A DOMESTIC A319!!! ^^^^^^^
