Nothing can beat New Year's Eve in Paris. Dinner at a small restaurant close to the Eiffel Tower, walk back to the rental apartment down the Seine, Midnight struck just when we got close to home and as we cut through a neighborhood we got to watch happy couples standing at open windows with glasses in their hands toasting the New Year. Back home we opened the bottle of Champagne that we'd bought in the small little local shop down the street and feasted on sugary treats we'd purchased that afternoon.

The funniest part was walking through the city the next day and finding empty Champagne bottles everywhere - not the cheap stuff, Paris knows how to party!!
Hi milepig! that could be an unforgettable experience! Lovely dude.^
