The taking away of partner awards online began with the DL/NW merger when Delta threw away the ability to book KE and other Asia airlines online.

And not to mention throwing away a comprehensive award chart showing partner awards especially originating and departing outside the USA.

Yeah like 3Cforme, I too just found a JFK-AMS-BLQ award fliught all on KLM. But my above statement still stands.
