The flights from Glasgow to N.Ireland are so short that I wouldn't really worry about the service ... you basically take-off then immediately land.

If you have a hire car then drive from Glasgow to Troon [35mins] & get the ferry across to Larne. If you prefer a longer drive & shorter ferry crossing then continue down the coast to Cairnryan/Stranraer [1h45m from Glasgow] & get a ferry from there to Larne/Belfast. Just avoid the traditional ferries, all 3 ports offer fastcraft services.

Troon/Cairnryan - P&O
Stranraer - Stena

If it were me I'd head down to Cairnryan/Stranraer stopping at Turnberry for lunch [& a game of golf if you're that way inclined] or for a really peaceful lunch then Glenapp Castle.
