Rodeway Inn in Orange Park, FL

I'm about to fly to Jacksonville, Florida for a poker tournament series, and I'm looking for cheap accommodation for a week, possibly ten days. I think I've found something *very* cheap, also very convenient to the poker room where I'll be playing.

I'm wondering two things - first, whether anyone here just happens to know this property - "Rodeway Inn & Conference Center" in Orange Park, and how tolerable it is. I mean, I know it's not going to be nice, I just want to avoid bedbug infestations, etc.

Second, I don't stay in hotels much (other than in Vegas), so don't pay much attention to hotel loyalty programs. I know that Rodeway is part of Choice ... is there anything special I should know about signing up for a Choice group account? Any way to get some extra points just for signing up?

Can I get Frequent Flier miles for staying at a Rodeway Inn?

Sorry for the newb questions - I'm a moderately experienced frequent flier mile whore, but practically a virgin with hotel programs. Any tips you can pass on will be appreciated.
