fastair who has not offered us the official policy answer.
The sole original F passenger said this below and her de-planing might well have been an option, even if I were not on the flight - delaying the flight possibly for an hour or two whilst bag located from among the 500 others and removed.
As I asked, in that case,
WHO was to blame.
Not the First Class passenger, that is for certain.
