If so, it's very hit or miss. I've flown with the little guy 5 times in the last 6 months and not once has that happened. He's officially toddler age now so we buy his own seat, but we've never had the good fortune of AA blocking a B or E for us (although we do always reserve the window/aisle and hope for the best, worst case we ask someone in the middle to switch to aisle.)

It might also be that your flight is completely open....let us know the outcome.
