Remember KLM's "extra legroom" in EC, is sometimes the standard legroom on other airlines. So for legroom definitely stick with the exit-row.
The extra recline is marginal and highly overrated.
I presume you are referring to some Asian / Middle East carriers that have 34" standard, which is indeed very generous.
That said, I do find the Economy Comfort product worth it.
