I'm looking for info about how late flights can land at Pearson.

Situation is this: Mrs Hogtowner (along with 10 year old, who has a miserable cold) is scheduled from LHR to YYZ on 849 today (Jan 4th) at 1500 hrs. Problem is that the in-bound aircraft is 850 from YYC, and it is running way, way late. It was supposed to have taken off at 1905 hrs last night (ie Jan 3rd), but only got wheels up at 0613 hrs this morning. Its revised landing time at LHR is 2205 hrs.

AC849 is now revised as departing LHR at 2325 hrs and arriving YYZ at 0230 hrs. My question is: what happens if there is any further delay? Will they still be able to land at YYZ? I thought that 0230 would have been past the curfew, or are there special exemptions granted in circumstances like this?

Luckily, my wife's company have a London office and she is hanging out there for now. I've looked on Travelocity and can book the Heathrow Sheraton for C$102 if need be.
