Turns out you can have different depart cities for the AC bundle tickets from China but will have to confirm tomorrow whether you have to be a Chinese national to purchase.

On a related noted - for those who are based out Asia (SIN/TPE) who can read Japanese, the fares from NRT/HND on aircanada.jp are pretty good...often with promos and some pricing not available on the English website...like giving away diamonds for NWT travel ^
