Interestingly the DL super I spoke with also thought this was a reasonable question. These are DL's clains of who gets upgrades - if they are playing by a different set of rules now, well I certainly would like to know.

DL did not run the upgrades - waiting until flight was cancelled and arbitrarily put people in those seats - including non DM or 1st class seat purchasers -I will confirm that today.

Looks like DL was saving these seats because they knew they were going to cancel the flight. I am planning on asking the station manager what happened at SRQ. Why cancel the flight but still fly the plane home.

Again please note I am on B fare @ 1k ea - so this is a high rev ticket.
