Yes I am sure that the kid had contagious chicken pox (that is when the dots have not dried out and are filled). I saw dots on stomage, face, neck and nothing on hands (usually you get dots on the hands and feet in the later stage)

I had two kids on the flight that have not had chicken pox, if they are infected by it in 10 days it means that they will not be able to go to school or kindergarden for 5-6 days and someone needs to take care of them. I am also concerned that thai let them fly so easy. You do not need to be seated close to them to get infected, especially not on an airplane. For eldery people the effect can be pretty bad.
