Every other major "network carrier" FF program gives a holdover period for exactly this reason to avoid dumping valid but late-qualifying elites due to the airline's own processing delays. Simple rule for this should be: Elite "holdover period" should be at least as long as the period the FF program says to wait before contacting them for missing mileage credit for EQM-earning airlines.
