. Actually, they took this perk away from PM's totally, then gave us 2 free changes, then finally relented and gave PM's unlimited award changes. It is really the only way to work the frequent flyer award ticket scheme. Book something you can live with then refine the itinerary when better options become available. I rarely outright cancel an award ticket, but I make a lot of changes to get a better itinerary as more award seats become available.
