It really depends on your ticket, I've travelled similarly before, and on my ticket it was clearly marked as 'PC' (piece concept) for all segments. While checking in on one of the segments, the check-in agent told me I had exceed the 20kg Y class limit, but once I pointed out what was indicated on my ticket, he had no issues letting me check in my luggage without penalty.
