Westjet doesn't accept airmiles...they haven't for awhile now.

They have thier own frequent flyer programme. Its not great. Check out the details here.

And I doubt WestJet is always the cheapest, especially with their new pricing structure. I often find them comparable or more expensive than Tango fares on AC. Sometimes even the same price as Tango PLUS fares on AC.
