SFO Runways

AA 1936 LAX-SFO (12 PM flight) has a 73% on time rating. So this seems to be the one to avoid.

Extending the runways won't do a bit of good about bad weather acceptance rates. The issue is that the runways are too close together laterally (750 ft or so) and that is too close to run simultaneous parallel arrivals when the aircraft can't see each other.

The only option would be to widen the distance between the runways and, from what I've seen at that airport, that doesn't really seem to an option. So, we are stuck with delays anytime the weather is bad.

I'll be spending a lot of time in SFO in the next 6 weeks laying over during mileage runs, I hope the weather doesn't hose me too badly.
