Must have been an internal plumbing problem.... its not in an area that could be flooded .... there have been no significant water issues in the area recently. I drove past it a few days ago and it looks fine from the outside. Its a new hotel so I find this suprising.

Either they had a flood drainage issue from all the new concrete poured at this site and surrounding buildings, or there was some sort of structural issue (roof, windows, etc.) that allowed water to penetrate the building. That would be my guesses...
