Following this advise, I ordered 2 Rimowa Bolero cases from Das Bags. It was a nightmare! I ordered them as a Christmas gift for my son and his wife for a trip and over a month later, they still had not been delivered. I got one story after another, three times I was told the bags had shipped, when in fact they had not. They supplied me with shipping tracking numbers to show they had shipped, and then when I checked the tracking numbers, they had only initiated shipping, but never shipped. Finally after 8weeks of lies and excuses, I had to involve the Rimowa company to intervene and was told the Rimowa Bolero had been discontinued and a variation was added to the Salsa line, but would not be available in gloss black. Das Bags then agreed that yes that was correct but they would send an upgrade with no cost to me, as well as a credit for 150 dollars for my trouble. Neither, of course, appeared. In the end, I had to buy other luggage for their trip/gift. I have contested the 1350.00 charge with my credit company, and have been issued a temporary credit while they investigate. I have a string of at least 15 Das Bag e-mails with various excuses. They don't answer their phones or return calls. Based on my experience, I would STRONGLY advise against doing business with Das Bags.
Follow-up has taken literally hours, and they have been completely dishonest. By the way--the only thing Das Bags managed to do in a timely and efficient fashion, was charge my credit card for the full amount the very day I placed my order with them. The charge should not have been posted until the items shipped. My advise would be to call Rimowa and ask them to refer you to reputable distributors. Das Bags won't be one of them!
