The rule (Federally too, mind you) is that a flight attendant must be able to maneuver and successfully open and operate the exits without assistance, including in heavier armed mode, while in the classroom once a year for recurrent training.

In addition, a flight attendant must be able to be secured in the jumpseat with complete harness without the use of any extension.
