I have learned to navigate the Tube just fine and have no fear of it. I now print the map from the internet before I go and know where I need to get off when I arrive and pretty much for what I plan on doing while I am there.

In NYC, I need a friend to guide me around as I am totally lost. In Paris--well after certain horrible things happened on their Metro, I will never get on it again. Love the DC Metro. Can find my way around there. Managed to understand BART this summer. Problem was the cutback in hours and I had to leave a concert early so I could catch the last BART train.
