Yeah, it is easy to avoid this scam, but for those who didn't already know about it, this will keep them from being caught off guard, especially when you think that you already have worked out the price and then find out that they're asking for 10 times more than you thought. They do get very aggressive about the payment and I understand why that one couple felt overwhelmed.
