It is not clear that you are entitled to use your judgement as to whether it is restricted or not.

Furthermore, the TGA in Australia regulates medicines, and the brand of ranitidine you bring in from the US may not be licenced in Australia - which may make import unlawful (IANAL).
MMMM ... interesting. Do you have any idea how a customs agent would treat you if you were coming into the country with a bottle of such medicine?

I do not think anything about things that are sold just like aspirine in the US and would never have thought about declaring them... perhaps I need to rethink.
