Indeed it is - actually every single one of the 272 London Underground stations has time indicators on all of its platforms, showing destination of and time until arrival (usually) for at least one train.

I don't know why everyone says this; it's not true. You don't need to know the terminus stop in order to get around on the Tube. "Northbound", "Southbound", "Eastbound" and "Westbound" platforms are marked on every platform of the entire Underground network. As long as you have a vague idea of the direction you're going, that is enough.

IME, London is no more complicated than most other underground systems - it just seems overwhelming because it is so large.
