Bike taxis
So the price really was supposed to be 30 RMB then? I figured that the card the guy showed me was probably something he created himself just to try to scam tourists, although it looked very official. That left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I don't want to have anything to do with them again. When leaving to go to the airport, I was hailing a taxi outside of my hotel when one of the 3-wheelers came up beside me and tried to get me to get on. (It was a different guy from the one who scammed me.) However because of what had happened when I first arrived, I was so ticked off that I felt like punching him for having the nerve to even ask me to get on that thing, lol.
I just took the metro everywhere while I was there. It's so cheap, one price no matter how far you go. Much different than Taipei, where it can get quite expensive if you're going far, especially to the outer suburbs.
In China I'd rather hire the motorcycle taxis than those bicycle ones. At least you can negotiate a cheap price and get where you're going quickly.
