I wouldn't recommend Aberdeen as it's pretty residential and the only "attractions" (old boats in the harbour and a floating restaurant) are pretty unexciting. That being said, getting to Aberdeen is much quicker than getting to Stanley from Central.

As for Stanley, it's a good change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Central, although I don't find the market that exciting. Murray House is quite nice and supposedly has a good museum inside, although I've never been to the museum. I believe the 6, 6A, 6X, 66 & 260 all leave from the bus terminus under Exchange Square and head out to Stanley, with 6X & 260 being express routes.
